Restoration & Repairs | FAQ

Frequently asked questions about repair services and restoration options.

We do not offer recapping services for units made by other companies. To ensure the quality and craftsmanship we stand behind, we only work with units constructed in-house.
To request any changes or repairs, your unit must be returned within our 3-day return window and must remain unaltered. Once a unit has been modified by another stylist or business, we’re no longer able to offer adjustments or accept it for service.
Every unit we create is tailored specifically to you. That’s why, if a repair is approved, the processing timeline typically ranges from 14 to 25 business days, depending on the type of repair required.

Your request will be added to our production queue once your unit is received. If you're returning an item for service, the day we receive it is the day it’s officially added to the queue. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your repaired unit is on its way back to you.

We do not complete repairs on units that haven’t been approved or discussed in advance. Please only send in units approved for repair and made by Modern Beauty Co.
Yes! We offer a Wig Refresh service that includes a professional wash and restyle to rejuvenate your unit. We also provide closure repairs, which are ideal for thinning or shedding closures. Please keep in mind that each repair is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The best way to care for your lace closure is to be gentle and avoid manipulating the hair excessively. Each strand is hand-tied onto delicate lace, meaning that excessive yanking or pulling can result in shedding and accelerate the closure's wear and tear.
While your unit can get wet, we don’t recommend swimming in it. Immersing your unit in salt water or chlorine can deplete its natural oils, leading to tangling or matting, particularly around the closure.

If you choose to swim in your unit, we suggest rinsing it immediately afterward and using a hydrating shampoo and conditioner on your human hair unit. Always separate and gently detangle, then allow it to air dry.
